 New Events For 2020-21

Reintroduction to Consulting

A smaller-scale event targeted to first- and second-year students. Our goal is to help these students determine if consulting fits their career interests. Aspects of the event include an overview of what consulting is, an in-depth look at the recruitment process, and a panel of upper-year students who have previous work experience in consulting that discusses their opinions on the industry as a whole.

Uncommon Consulting Firms

A speed networking event that is dedicated to smaller consulting firms, or firms who operate in more specific segments of the consulting industry. Students will be able to talk to firm representatives about particular applications of consulting, such as in technology, finance, and human resources.

 Past Events

Consulting Demystified

An event targeted at first-year students which introduces them to the consulting industry: what it is, why it is interesting, and some of the skills needed to have a successful career in it. This event also serves as the official introduction of RCCA to the first-year student community and launches our first-year intern program which allows new students to get involved with the RCCA on an internal level.

University of Toronto Consulting Conference (UTCC)

The largest consulting case competition at the University of Toronto, hosted in collaboration with the University of Toronto Consulting Association (UTCA). In addition to presenting a case solution, all attendees have the opportunity to find out more about consulting through networking and attending consulting-focused workshops hosted by industry professionals.

Strategy Night

A casual event featuring recent graduates and upper-year students targeted at second- and third-year students looking to build connections with the RCCA’s own alumni network.

Perspectives

A novice-friendly case competition and networking event targeted at first- and second-years which features a non-profit organization as the case study in order to foster the development of different business mindsets. Perspectives allows younger students to stand out to attending firm representatives and participate in a lower-pressure case competition setting.

Women in Consulting

A panel discussion featuring women in the consulting industry, followed by a networking session. This event aims to empower young women who wish to go into consulting and to allow students to be exposed to a diverse selection of people and their business experiences.
